Affinity Groups
We recognize the profound value of affinity groups in fostering a sense of belonging and community among individuals who share common identities, interests, or experiences.
Examples of potential affinity groups: BIPOC, QTBIPOC, elders, disabled, women, men, genderqueer, neurodivergent, etc. If you're aching to connect with folks with shared life experience, consider starting a group.
Support & Belonging – Connect with others who share similar identities or lived experiences. Getting together as an identity group for brave sharing can make it easier to navigate the larger village.
Networking & Growth – Gain mentorship, make friends, learn about yourself, and maybe even get career opportunities.
Advocacy & Change – Work together to create a more inclusive and equitable environment. Please read carefully whether allies are welcome. In most affinity spaces based on identity, these are for only folks with lived experience of holding that identity.
Education & Awareness – Learn from different perspectives and experiences from other folks with shared identities.
We currently have members bringing men's group and Quirky Brains club. QBC has it's own page (see below). Info/dates on of our offerings can be found on the calendar page.
First Sundays at 10 pacific. This member-led offering in Zoom is a tender and shame-free space for connecting to others as yourself, however quickly, loop-ily, single-mindedly, or otherwise quirkily your brain works!
A Stellar Village Membership perk: Members are invited to contribute to community culture and level-up group skills by facilitating workshops, discussions, practices, song circles, affinity groups, co-working spaces, etc.
